Artist Reflection (Polaroid's)
Artist Reflection (Polaroid's) The strongest visual area of my finished art piece is the way I positioned my Polaroid’s. I positioned them in a way where they looked purposely scattered. I think this was my strongest part because I had more leeway to recreate an image, manipulate what was there and portray what I wanted. I think I could have been more creative, I should have done more with the image. It can be improved because the next time around, I plan to step out of my comfort zone, and explore the horizons of my art piece. I could have also added more color to the art work. I utilized the selection tool, free transform tool, saturation tool, the magic wand tool, and the type tool. I used the selection tool to select the images and Polaroid templates. The free transform tool was used to rotate and scale the Polaroid’s. The saturation tool was used to change the colors of my original image and enrich the dull colors. I used th...

The strongest part of my finished art piece is the gradation affect that I applied as an overlay.
ReplyDeleteThe variation of color I used on my art piece can be improved on. I could’ve used more vibrant colors. I used the gradation tool, pen tool, fill tool and eye dropper tool. I used the gradation tool on Photoshop once I finished piecing my artwork together. The pen tool was used to create the geometric shapes, and the eye dropper tool was used to sample out a specific color and distribute it over the image how I wanted. The fill tool to fill in the geometric shapes. Placing the geometric shapes how and where I wanted them was the easiest part because I got to reconstruct my face. The most difficult part was constructing my nose for some reason I had a problem with doing that. I demonstrated each of the objectives this art activity because I was able to manipulate the pen tool and create geometric shapes. If I could do this assignment again, I would add more variations of color. On a scale of 1-10 I would you rate my effort in this project as an 8 because I tried really hard.

Why is the gradient the strongest piece? You then contradict yourself and say the color in the gradient isn't the strongest. Which is it? It's a confusing statement. The objective was to utilize stroke and fill to build your face. How did you do this? Don't be vague.
